There may not be any school, but there is a lot to learn here at CDM!
Monday: 11am – 12pm, Chewonki will present “Animal Adaptations, Survival in the Wild”. “Webbed feet, camouflaged fur, or spines on your back are all amazing ways that animals adapt to survive in the wild. In this fun-filled hour, students will learn about adaptations, try on fun costumes, and see firsthand how three of our live non-releasable animals have adaptations that help them thrive in their specific habitats. After the presentation, students will be encouraged to create their own animal with adaptations from their imagination!”
Tuesday: 10:30 am, Maine children’s book author Lynn Plourde will be reading her books “Dino Pets Go to School” and “Only Cows Allowed”.
Plourde has had twenty-seven children’s books published, including her newest “Only Cows Allowed,” “Dino Pets Go to School,” and “Lost Trail,” a graphic novel co-authored with Donn Fendler.
