Summer Camps- Coming Soon!

There may be a snow storm on the horizon, but we are thinking about SUMMER! Stay tuned mid-March for the official release of our Summer Camp Schedule.


Ready, Set, GLOW

Friday, March 13th, 6:30-8 PM! Come experience the magic of the museum in the dark! We’ll have face painting, activities, and dance music all in the fun of a blacklit play space. Don’t miss it! $10/child with one free adult per child. Extra adults are $5/each.


Feb Break Fun!

Monday – Special OPEN hours! 10-4 Come check out some of our mobile museum exhibits, on display all day! Tuesday – Test your STEM skills with making marshmallow structures at 11 AM. Wednesday – Special edition of The Kids’ Table, sponsored by Hannaford Supermarkets – make and take salads at 11 AM. Thursday – Come see the fantastic Mr. Drew and His Animals Too

Book Sale

During the month of February, shop while your kids play! We will have gently used books on display for you to peruse. It’s a great way to get some new reading material while also supporting a great cause! And the price is right – everything is by donation. Sale open daily during museum hours. Kringleville

Did you know that the museum organizes Kringleville in Waterville? Thousands of families from the central Maine region look forward to Santa and Mrs. Claus’ arrival in downtown Waterville. The Children’s Discovery Museum took over this beloved holiday tradition in 2017 and is excited to continue its legacy. We are usually open Tuesday-Sunday, but in December we will be open for the school break! Come on in and play!


Make, Take and Bake an Apple Pie!

On Wednesday, November 27th, we will be making apple pies!  Museum staff will help the kids make the crust, filling and topping. They put it together, you bring it home to bake! All children must be pre-registered for this event by calling the museum at 622-2209. We will be making pies at 11:00, 1:00 and 3:00. Cost is $5 per pie. If you choose
