Healthy Family Night

Join us on Friday, January 31st from 6 – 8 for our Healthy Family Night!  Try out some Zumba, see how much sugar is in the drinks we consume, Plant a Tasty Seed with FoodCorps Service Member Andrea Snow! Choose from a variety of edible plants and learn how to start the seed, care for it and harvest a tasty treat at your own home!

Engineering Day!

Maine ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers) is hosting a ‘Let’s Build!’ activity at the Augusta Children’s Museum on Saturday, December 28th from 10-12. Please join us for 3 exciting activities: Concrete Hands Toothpick and Gumdrop towers Suspension Bridge Children and Adults of all ages are welcome to participate.  Normal admission price applies, but this program is free with admission.

Santa is Coming!

On Saturday, December 21st at 1pm, Santa will be stopping into CDM!  Come early, play, visit with Santa, for only $4.50 per adult and $5.50 per child.  Members are free and children <12 months are free. Maine Children’s Author, Nancy Prince

Maine children’s book author, Nancy Prince, will read and sign copies of Libby’s Loons, at the Children’s Discovery Museum in Augusta on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 10:30 AM. A related loon art project will follow the book reading. Libby’s Loons is a children’s picture book written by Prince and illustrated by artist Luanne Wrenn, who has provided vibrant water color illustrations throughout the book.

Food Pantry Project

World Food Day is October 16th, but we did not feel collecting items on one day would be enough!  So we are collecting from October 9th – October 30th! Halloween Fun Day

On October 26th, Chris Osgood will be in at 11am to read his scary stories!  Come hear! We will also have Halloween Crafts to make throughout the day, games to play and will be giving out treats. Dress up in your favorite costume and come have some spooky fun with us!
