Now that we are well on our way through 2022, we wanted to take a quick moment to pause and reflect on all we accomplished last year, and what we have to look forward to this coming year.
In today’s post, I’m excited to share a video tour of our space, that includes some background information about how the project got started, the purpose behind our exhibit design, and why the museum is so important for the community.
For the Children's Museum, 2021 was a year of preparation. We hired our architect who created the schematic building plans, finalized the exhibit designs, and continued fundraising. We also ran a slate of hands-on programming for children, including a summer camp and an after-school program. We've really missed the community so it felt wonderful to be building relationships with families again!
As we look to the rest of 2022, we plan to hire our contractor, complete renovations, finalize all designs, fabricate our exhibits and… open! While all of this is happening, we are committed to continuing to provide engaging hands-on programs, including afterschool, special events, programs with community partnerships, a full 4 weeks of summer camp, and more! Thank you for coming along with us on this journey. We can’t wait for the rest of 2022 to unfold.
