FAQ
WHAT WILL THE DAILY
PROGRAM LOOK LIKE?
In the morning we will start with exploration of our daily topic, including play and art-based inquiries. Then we will spend some time learning about the day's topic through experimentation. After lunch, we will spend some time outside and then end the day with more experiments and application of what we have learned.
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?
Camp will likely get messy - a change of clothes or clothes that are OK to get stained are preferred.

Camp will be a mix of learning and play, and all topics will be hands-on. Activities may be challenging at times, but camp staff will do their best to support campers and meet them where they are at.
WHO IS RUNNING THE PROGRAM?
Lead Camp Educator and the Museum's Programs Director, Caitlin Walker, has been overseeing and running museum summer camps for over four years, and specializes in creating engaging, hands-on programs for children. Before coming the the museum, Caitlin was a high school Physics and Chemistry teacher for over 10 years, which gives her a solid base in content and application of science exploration with kids. Assisting Caitlin will be several staff members and volunteers with experience working closely with children.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Camp costs $300/week. We take payments through our online Square payment system (found in the registration form), or in person at 7 Eustis Parkway, Waterville, ME 04901. Please reach out to Amarinda to inquire about scholarships.
